Cannabis Social Clubs became popular in the United States during prohibition. Cannabis was often used as a legal intoxicant since alcohol was illegal.
Teapads were developed as clubs in urban areas where jazz music was performed and cannabis was consumed. Teapads usually catered to those in the jazz scene and were usually furnished comfortably, often playing jazz music. Music in homage from these clubs arose; Gene Krupa even composed an entire album named “Teapad Songs Volume 1”. These clubs disappeared after cannabis became illegal.

The following rant, loud writing, is for single and small groups of people. Natural disasters, happenings beyond control (broken natural gas lines, water mains, etc.) are not a consideration.
When one chooses to build on rock (no water) difficulty in reaching or outside fire service areas, unstable soil and not get insurance, should everyone else be financially responsible?
Build on rock, then complain there is no water and ask city to provide water. The homeowners along the proposed route will be asked to help defray the costs~
Recently a fire was started at McHugh Creek in the Anchorage area. Remember, fires are prohibited in the park. Fortunately no lives were lost. Folks built nearby, knowing their escape routes were limited to one road. These are expensive homes, $500,000 being entry-level.
There are means to protect against a majority of fires. Build with non-flammable material, external & internal fire suppression systems, clear all flammable materials away from dwelling and on and on.
The Matanuska River has changed course and flooded throughout the years. People choose to live on and near it. Then they expect or demand everyone else bail (no pun intended) them out.

Child abuse or child maltreatment is physical, sexual, or psychological mistreatment or neglect of a child or children, especially by a parent or other caregiver. It may include any act or failure to act by a parent or other caregiver that results in actual or potential harm to a child, and can occur in a child’s home, or in the organizations, schools or communities the child interacts with.
The terms child abuse and child maltreatment are often used interchangeably, but some researchers make a distinction between them, treating child maltreatment as an umbrella term to cover neglect, exploitation, and trafficking.
Different jurisdictions have developed their own definitions of what constitutes child abuse for the purposes of removing a child from his/her family and/or prosecuting a criminal charge.

I believe Muñoz “learning experience” is not to get caught doing anything to lose votes, which is one of top rules for politicians.

The Division of Elections is looking for individuals to serve as election workers before, during and after Election Day. It takes hundreds of election workers to conduct an election. Election workers span the generation gap from high school students to senior citizens and mirror the amazing diversity of our state. Most important, election workers put a face on the election process and they make voters feel confident about voting. Without their time, energy and dedication, elections simply would not happen.
In Alaska, rural communities are in need of election workers and/or translators who, in addition to English, are fluent in speaking the local Alaska Native languages. Bilingual election workers are needed to provide language assistance to Alaska Native voters who have limited English proficiency. In the Kodiak area, bilingual election workers are needed to provide language assistance in the Filipino (Tagalog) language.
You will receive training prior to the election that will teach you everything you need to know.

Once she and her husband made the decision that she would stay home to raise their son, Carlson found it important for body and soul to get out of the house as much as possible, so she frequented her favorite nature-themed parks, then playgrounds, as James grew up. One week, she happened to meet the same dad at two different parks.

This reminds me to stop complaining about dragging around my Canon rebel, which takes much better pictures than my Canon Spotmatic, but doesn’t fit easily into my pocket. Paragraphs like these help me figure out who I am and what I’m doing on this blog. Though I can think of friends who would disagree, I don’t think I’m as obsessed – my attention is too scattered over too many things – but I do think about documentation of things and people that are often overlooked. And as patient and tolerant as my wife is, I need to mind her needs as well as mine.
