A double amputee in a wheelchair, believed to be an Army veteran, allegedly shot and wounded a doctor Wednesday night and fired at others at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, the FBI said.

The doctor, who was wounded in the neck, then subdued the alleged shooter, the FBI said. The doctor was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he reportedly was treated and released.

According to Clemons, there were about 250 soldiers in the unit who bought tickets home. She told Army Times that each of the CAB’s battalions was assigned a refund coordinator to “ensure no soldier has to pay out of pocket.”

Perhaps there is one soldier who can pay out of pocket: Col. Scott Galloway, who makes nearly $11,000 per month in base pay alone.
