“Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.”
Shannon L. Alder
“It only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime.”
Steve Maraboli
“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”
CoCo Chanel
“When you carry out acts of kindness, you get a wonderful feeling inside. It is as though something inside your body responds and says, yes, this is how I ought to feel.”
Harold Kushner
Try this — think these words “May Kindness rain down upon you” to every single person you meet, interact with, see, or speak with — including yourself. You’ll feel better.
This land is your land.
This land is my land.
Be kind to to the land, be kind to everyone you know.
You make a difference that you will never see or understand.
Feeling annoyed? People driving you crazy? Sick of people’s bs? Take a breath. Wish them peace. Wish them joy. Wish them healing. Wish them love.
Well crap, just when you head out to take a breath, a leaf falls into your mug. ARG! Don’t let it get you down. There’s no universal force trying to mess up your life. Laugh. Breathe. Be kind to yourself.
Most people feel a little off — crazy, depressed, anxious, frustrated, angry, lonely. Here’s a way to feel better: do one kind act today. Do another tomorrow. And then again the next day. Your kindness will change someone else’s day — and your entire life.
The world whispers to you — “Be kind. The energy of the world is love. Kindness is love in action.” Yes, the cruel and ridiculous are loud. But you know, in your heart, that they are wrong. Test it for yourself. Be kind. Show compassion.
You’ve grabbed your coat, your gloves, hat, mask, and out the door you go! Be safe. Be kind. Breathe! Never forget — you can handle everything that comes your way! You’ve got this!
Yep, it’s stressful.
And Breathe.
Yep, you feel overwhelmed — most people do.
And Breathe.
Yep, you can go off — or you can be kind.
And Breathe.
You’ve got this.
Sick of everything? We all are. Stupid virus, stupid stay at home, stupid work pressures that only get more and more intense, stupid dark mornings… There’s only one solution — be kind to yourself.
Feeling blue?
Lots of us are now.
You have to ask yourself — what do I need right now?
Do everything in your power to actually care for yourself — I repeat — to actually care for yourself (ie, not mindless scrolling, cartoons on Insta reels, doom and gloom, mindless gaming, eating everything, being shit faced).
Unsure? How about the basics? Eat good food. Drink your water. Sleep. Talk to someone who cares. Breathe. Try it — see how you feel.
Yes, this is not an easy time for you or for the world. It’s tempting to find a rock to hide under and wait this out.
But here’s the thing — the world needs your shine, your joy, your passion, your laughter, your kindness, and your love.
So get out there and shine. You CAN handle this. Shine on!
